Event Summary

Below you will find information on the Eleftheria Gala and how to become a sponsor for the Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Parade.

Event Details

The Federation has been the “voice” of the Greek-American community since 1949, communicating and interacting with the representatives of the Hellenic (Greek) Republic, Republic of Cyprus, government officials of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, City of Philadelphia, other local governments, and also with our Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey.

The Federation is also the sponsor of the Greek Independence Parade and Celebration, with thousands of Greek-Americans and Philhellenes proudly parading down Benjamin Franklin Parkway each year. This year, the Federation is hosting the Eleftheria Gala to help support the parade and bring community members together in the heart of Philadelphia before marching.

Join us at the Eleftheria Gala on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel's "Liberty Ballroom".

Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00pm followed with dinner at 6:00pm. There will be a Cash Bar.

Entertainment by the legendary Atlantis of Philadelphia, featuring Greek-American International Artist, KALOMIRA.

6abc Action News’ Katie Katro, will be leading the Gala as the Mistress of Ceremonies.

Sponsorships for Philadelphia's 2025 Greek Independence Day Parade will include Gala tickets depending on the tier level. More information on sponsorships will be found in the ticket descriptions. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, the Federation accepts tax-deductible donations and bequests. This status allows us to reinvest in our community, promoting Hellenic culture and ideals while strengthening bonds between Greek-Americans and the broader community.
